Projects
Four HubSpot ecosystem products I build and maintain at Instrumental Group. They all sit on the same in-house platform underneath (Fastify, MongoDB, per-portal HubSpot OAuth, queue-backed jobs), so what's actually interesting is each product's own problem, not its plumbing. This is client work with no public repo, so the descriptions stay high-level.
Learn LMS
A white-label, multi-tenant learning platform, delivered as a HubSpot public app. It provisions a full course catalog inside each customer's own HubSpot portal: lessons, quizzes, certificates, native courses and SCORM 1.2/2004 packages side by side. The hard part is keeping MongoDB and HubSpot's own CRM objects in sync across many independent portals without one side's update triggering a loop back to the other. We're also partway through migrating off the platform's original HubDB-based storage.
Private — Instrumental GroupDeal Duplicator
A HubSpot marketplace app that deep-clones a Deal — line items, quotes, associated companies, tickets, custom objects, all of it — in one action. You can trigger it from the CRM UI, a workflow step, or let it run automatically on pipeline or stage changes. Cloning a large object graph without hitting a customer's own HubSpot API limits took a rules engine, a per-tenant rate limiter, and a job queue underneath; getting line-item billing terms to survive the clone correctly took its own dedicated fix.
Private — Instrumental GroupMigratr
A self-serve product for migrating CRM data into HubSpot, from Salesforce, from Pipedrive, or between two HubSpot accounts. Customers run a free sample before paying for the full migration. Under the hood, a provider-abstraction layer normalizes very different source CRMs into a single pipeline: long-running, resumable jobs with per-record error visibility, and a revert option scoped to each object type. Every migration gets its own database, so one customer's data never touches another's.
Private — Instrumental GroupMagic Workflows
A HubSpot marketplace app built around HubDB-centric workflow actions: reading and writing HubDB rows mid-workflow, round-robin owner assignment, and a handful of related automation blocks. It's sold on a metered, usage-based plan. Right now it's also in the middle of a rebuild onto a cleaner, use-case-driven architecture, done without breaking any customer's existing workflows.
